Certified Medical Assistant - Behavioral Health

What We Offer:

• Competitive pay range of $22.29-$32.83/hour based on experience
• Additional 4% pay differential for bilingual skills

  • $1,500 at Hire
  • $1,500 at 90 Days

  • Bonus will be pro-rated based on Full-Time Equivalent (FTE)

Your Role:

As a Certified Medical Assistant supporting our Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC), you will play an essential role in connecting patients with vital behavioral health services. Your responsibilities include:

• Acting as a liaison between patients and behavioral health services
• Coordinating warm handoffs and assisting with patient rooming
• Managing schedules, communications, and follow-ups for BHC
• Administering and tracking behavioral health screening tools such as PHQ-9 and GAD-7
• Supporting telehealth visits and outreach for high-risk patients
• Interpreting for BHCs or coordinating interpretation services
• Collaborating with a compassionate, mission-driven healthcare team

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Completed an accredited medical assisting program with 720 training hours and a clinical externship
• One year of experience as a CMA is preferred
• CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire
• Must possess Medical Assistant Certification or interim certification from the WA State Department of Health
• Bilingual in English and Spanish at a level 10 is mandatory
• Strong medical knowledge to理解 theoretical principles and technical aspects of medicine
• Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse personalities
• Strong multitasking abilities to manage varying workloads
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Epic, and EMR systems
