JOB SUMMARY

Your primary role will involve safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to various customers. You will be responsible for proper delivery and unloading of products according to customer invoices and company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Unload products from the trailer using hands or a hand cart in various weather conditions while placing them in designated customer storage areas.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately following company and governmental guidelines.
• Maintain food safety protocols and ensure sanitary conditions in vehicles, warehouse, and yard.
• Foster positive relationships with customers through excellent service and clear communication.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a tractor trailer driving school will be accepted instead of or in addition to a high school diploma.

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting and delivery practices is crucial.

Key skills include proficiency in driving over long distances and various terrains, effective communication with customers, and problem-solving abilities.

The ability to operate a 3 axle tractor and navigate in different weather conditions while maintaining alertness and safety is essential.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regularly requires sitting, talking, and hearing. Frequently involves lifting, pushing, and moving products weighing up to 50 pounds and using a hand cart for up to 350 pounds.
• Demands include climbing in and out of trucks, bending, twisting, and using vision to ensure safe operations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Job involves exposure to varying weather conditions and may require working in confined spaces. Generally, overtime hours, weekends, and varying start times are required to fulfill customers' needs.
