Job Details
Join our team as a Local Home Daily Driver and take your career to the next level! We're immediately hiring a Dedicated Solo Class A CDL Driver, and we want you to be part of our family at Ryder.
Position Highlights:
- Earn a guaranteed minimum pay of $1360 weekly
- Competitive pay structure: $0.50 per mile with 2500 miles per week
- Receive $11 per stop for 5 to 15 stops weekly
- Enjoy $6.00 for each drop and hook
- Take advantage of a $2000 shutdown bonus, paid in increments of $1000
- Earn up to $250 each quarter in safety bonuses, if applicable
- Work a Monday to Friday schedule with some Saturdays
- Select your start time based on our bid system
Driving Details:
- Deliver solo to regions including IN and KY
- Enjoy local routes that allow you to be home daily
- Drive a Day Cab tractor and work with 53' Dry Van trailers
- Cargo consists of no-touch freight: Auto Parts
- Strong backing skills are a must
- Company-paid scale bypass included
Vehicle and Equipment:
Experience the comfort of modern trucks, which are 36 months or newer. You will also have access to 24/7 roadside maintenance, and you can fuel up at more than 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

Requirements:
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Pass a Ryder drug test and background check, including prior employer drug and alcohol verification
- Complete a DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Hold a valid Class A CDL with required endorsements
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow instructions and navigate regulations and policies
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Identifying and mitigating safety hazards
- Maintaining accurate records and logs
- Loading and unloading freight as required
- Performing additional duties as assigned
