The Opportunity
There are 6 available roles supporting various responsibilities divided amongst the following lines of business within USAA P&C Auto Optimization: Investigations, Auto Flow, and Glass Tow Rental.
As business process owner, plans, directs, and coordinates activities for complex processes, including problem definition, evaluation of requirements, design, testing, and implementation of business processes. Understands the process operating objectives, business rules, performance requirements, risks, and controls and interactions between dependent processes to minimize failures, eliminate redundancies, and control process performance necessary to achieve efficient, effective design and execution of the process. Supports alignment of process to overall experience strategy and vision.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: Chesapeake, VA, Colorado Springs, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Plano, TX, San Antonio, TX, or Tampa, FL.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What You'll Do
- Develops and implements strategic business process program plans.
- Applies expert knowledge to lead the alignment and development of business processes.
- Serves as functional expert to develop end-user focused process solutions.
- Manages the performance of processes by monitoring key performance indicators.
- Identifies, owns, and executes controls to mitigate operational and compliance risks.
- Develops communication plans for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensures alignment between internal stakeholders and customers.
- Utilizes reporting, data, and analytics to measure process performance.
- Stays current with emerging technologies for continuous process improvement.
- Leads solution development and drives business requirements for process improvement initiatives.
- Provides mentorship and guidance support for team and business partners.
- Provides relevant business performance intel to progress new and modified applications and processes.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified and controlled.
What You Have
- Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted.
- 6 years business process execution/knowledge/experience, consulting, and/or process engineering/optimization.
- Experience in applying quality management and process improvement tools.
- Experience in implementing and sustaining change/improvements.
- Hands on experience with process mapping and modeling.
- Experience in the application of process management standards and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience with Lean, Business Process Management, or similar methodology.
- Experience with utilizing systems to collect and analyze data.
What Sets You Apart
- Awareness of Auto Claims Telematics and application to Claims investigations.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
- Extensive experience and deep expertise in claims investigations.
- Highly proficient with Guidewire Claim Center.
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
Compensation Range: $93,770 - $168,790
