Automation Technician - Evening Shift

We are currently seeking a dedicated Automation Technician to work the 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Training will take place on the 1st shift for the first 60 days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct proactive and reactive maintenance while adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Identify failure modes and implement corrective actions for improved equipment performance.
• Document and schedule maintenance tasks accurately to maintain a reliable record.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and plant performance.
• Perform risk assessments to ensure safety in all maintenance activities.
• Prioritize employee health, product quality, and environmental protection in all efforts.

You will be responsible for preventive maintenance on equipment including electric forklifts, dock doors, grinders, air compressors, pumps, and more in our Rivonia facility. Our site boasts 13 repair stations that encompass various automated systems.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with industrial maintenance practices, including HMI operation and troubleshooting.
• 3-5 years of industrial machine maintenance experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and work on concrete floors for extended periods.
• Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as electrical components.

Physical and Working Conditions:

• The role requires working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, exposed to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required to ensure safety.
