This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Compensation: $40.26 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance on equipment in various departments, focusing on automation, instrumentation, and mechanical systems.
• Provide feedback and suggest improvements for the reliability of plant assets.
• Assist in design and installation best practices for new and upgraded equipment, including machinery, automation, robotics, and machine controls.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using Precision Maintenance techniques.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Mechanics to install, diagnose, and repair equipment as required.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a third-party sponsored visa.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
• Effective communication in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, and moving safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Capable of working in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
• Willingness to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, such as heat, cold, dust, and loud noise, while using personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Basic computer proficiency and math skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Technical diploma in heavy equipment/industrial maintenance, or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Certifications in Predictive Maintenance and/or Precision Maintenance.
• Experience with automation and robotics technologies.
