The Role at a Glance
The Assistant Vice President of Product Compliance & State Filing is a pivotal leader in ensuring exceptional product compliance and filing outcomes for the Retail Annuities business. This role involves managing the complete product filing process and leading a dedicated team of subject matter experts. You will also play a key part in developing and implementing the Product Compliance and State Filing strategy, alongside policies, procedures, and controls.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Drive the execution of activities needed to expedite state product approvals, including negotiations with regulatory authorities and consultations with outside counsel or consulting firms.
- Focus on hiring top talent and fostering their development.
- Evaluate and communicate the impacts of industry and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with senior management and internal stakeholders to integrate emerging trends and developments into current and future compliance and filing strategies for Retail Annuities.
- Identify and implement strategic process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and reduce workloads across the team and the organization.
- Develop and direct product compliance strategies, ensuring alignment with state regulatory requirements through robust policies, procedures, and controls.
What We're Looking For:
- Must-Haves:
- 10+ years of product compliance and state filing experience within the insurance industry.
- In-depth knowledge of individual annuities.
- Comprehensive understanding of Product Development, management, and implementation processes.
- Proven ability to distill complex concepts into clear, effective communication.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

The pay range for this position is $125,800 - $229,100, with anticipated pay for new hires typically between the minimum and midpoint of the range, subject to variability based on experience, education, location, and qualifications. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives and standard benefits.
