Assistant Project Manager

Support the project management team by reviewing plans and specifications, contacting potential subcontractors, accurately projecting the cost of bids, and preparing submissions. Help coordinate and oversee projects from start to completion by submitting necessary paperwork, contacting subcontractors, implementing project schedules, and identifying ways to meet or exceed deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications for project accuracy.
• Contact potential subcontractors to discuss project details.
• Accurately project the cost of bids and prepare them for submission.
• Coordinate project activities and oversee the project from start to finish.
• Submit necessary paperwork and maintain project documentation.
• Implement project schedules and ensure deadlines are met or exceeded.

Essential Skills

• 1-2+ years of experience in construction management or as a Project Engineer with a general contractor.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with change orders and estimation.
• Familiarity with commercial construction processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in estimating and bidding public projects.

Work Environment

This role requires being in-office each day. The company values growth and provides opportunities for advancement to a Project Manager role.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract to hire position based out of New Hope, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.26/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
