Applications Support Senior Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Support Senior Analyst for its Tampa, FL location.

Duties: Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications by providing quick resolutions to application issues and by driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements. Provide production support, monitor production servers and scheduled jobs, address incidents, receive requests from end-users, and analyze and respond with solutions. Escalate issues to the IT teams, where necessary, including developers, system engineers, and database administrators. Maintain and support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service-level expectations. Perform same-day risk reconciliations and develop and maintain technical support documentation. Analyze risk frameworks and perform detailed proactive assessments of new product functionalities and applications being introduced into the production environment via monthly releases. Identify any new risks that are introduced and collaborate with accountable owners to analyze product development, architecture, and infrastructure support. Ensure remediation or mitigation prior to production introduction. Participate in application releases, from development, testing, and deployment into production. Engage in post-implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality. Partner with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation providing production support and configuring application monitoring within the financial services industry. Five (5) years of experience must include: Using ITSM to define processes including Change Excellence, Production Readiness, Service Risk Framework, and COB (Continuity of Business) to manage the IT services; Applying ITIL best practices and guidelines to define a systematic approach and methodology to improve service management practices, maturity, and quality; Tracking technical incidents and alerts throughout their life cycle including detecting, raising tickets, sending communications, coordinating with different groups, resolving incidents, and performing post-incident analysis; Analyzing system trends including system usage, disk usage, and performance to proactively identify issues and mitigate them before impact; Diagnosing and resolving application issues by investigating component logs using Shell scripts and querying DB using SQL; and Utilizing AppDynamics and ITRS Geneos to set up relevant monitoring and alerts for applications, servers, and databases. 40 hrs./wk.
