Airport Wheelchair Supervisor - TUS
Prospect International Airport Services is looking for an Airport Wheelchair Supervisor in Tucson, Arizona. The base pay rate is $21.00. This is a full-time, non-exempt position available for both A.M. and P.M. shifts.
Requirements and Description
Wheelchair Supervisors manage dispatching employees and equipment to arriving and departing flights, ensuring all passengers needing wheelchair assistance are accommodated. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring employees have correct information for their assignments.
- Monitoring hours to run a lean and efficient operation.
- Making good decisions to balance work hours with operational demands.
- Prioritizing tasks and managing aircraft turnaround.
- Responding to emergencies and non-emergencies efficiently.
- Ensuring timely and efficient movement of resources according to schedules.
- Providing reports to leadership and executive teams.
- Recording and maintaining logs and reports of dispatch information.
- Overseeing customer service issues and resolving any customer concerns.
- Directing passengers through customs and immigration.
- Handling all aspects of wheelchair support using a computerized system.
- Assisting customers with a smile and anticipating their travel needs.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Basic qualifications include:
- Two plus years of relevant experience with customer service and supervisory experience.
- Must be a local resident.
- Valid in-state driver's license.
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States.
- Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment under time constraints.
- Must maintain composure and professionalism when dealing with the frontline and customers.
- Must be open-minded and ready to work as part of a detail-oriented team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to type and use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed.
- Able to understand and follow ticketing procedures and other rules and regulations.
- Able to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment.
- Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner.
- Able to work quickly and efficiently to meet tight time restrictions.
- Must be flexible.
