Accounts Receivable Payments Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Accounts Receivable Payments Specialist to join our growing accounting team. This performs clerical and financial tasks in support of the organization's accounting operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting team goals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

• Compile and input amounts owed by or to the organization into the accounting system.
• Process payments to vendors and follow up on outstanding receivables from clients or customers.
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding payments and account discrepancies.
• Research and resolve issues related to payments or account balances.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
• Provide guidance or mentorship to junior staff as needed.
• Assist with month-end closing and reporting activities.
• Assist with general accounting tasks and participate in special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
