We are seeking a detail-oriented and tenured Accounts Payable Analyst. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, managing job costing, and supporting project accounting functions for a large construction company headquartered in metro Knoxville. The ideal candidate will be familiar with construction-specific accounting practices and software (Foundation, Procore, Sage, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks
• Manage accounts payable, including subcontractor payments
• Track and reconcile job costs, budgets, and change orders
• Prepare monthly financial reports, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and year-end closing procedures
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
• Maintain vendor and subcontractor records, including W-9s and certificates of insurance

Qualifications

• Proven experience working within accounts payable (minimum 5+ years preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job cost coding
• Proficiency in construction accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with lien waivers, retainage, and COIs
• Familiarity with construction project management tools
• Comfortable working in a high volume atmosphere (manually)

Direct Hire (onsite role)

Salary $65-75,000 DOE
