Accounting Specialist

Aston Carter is looking to hire an Accounting Specialist in Canton, OH. This position offers competitive pay with a top company in the area!

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and review recurring accounting transactions (invoices, remittance advices, customer checks) in accordance with established procedures.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to accounting transactions.
• Assist in responding to data requests and inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the review of general ledger account activity to ensure accuracy.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of accounting processes and procedures.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and support less experienced colleagues.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required

Associate Degree in Business or Accounting preferred for advanced roles

• Entry-Level: 612 months of administrative or office experience preferred
• Mid-Level: 2+ years of experience with accounting transactional data and invoice processing
• Sr.-Level: Associate Degree + 5+ years of accounting experience, or High School/GED + 8+ years of in-depth accounting experience

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
• Basic computer literacy required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
