The Accounting Clerk will function under the direction of the Supervisor of the Scan Team. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for scanning invoices in the imaging system. The Accounting Clerk will review the images to ensure quality of image. The Accounting Clerk will review the eform data after the Optical Character Recognition process to confirm the accuracy. The Accounting Clerk will process outgoing checks in a timely manner and perform special projects as assigned.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Scan invoices and related documentation.
- Ensure documents are scanned accurately and efficiently.
- Check images for quality.
- Check eforms (verify) for correct data after the OCR process
- Process check run payments
- Ensure any required copies of invoices, statements, registrations, etc., are included with payments when they are placed in envelope for mailing.
- Maintain security and confidentiality of payments.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Use of effective verbal, written and listening communication skills.
- Research and resolve issues as they occur.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education: High school diploma
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Additional License(s) and Certification(s):
Required Minimum Experience: Minimum 1 year of related experience Required
Required Minimum Skills: Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing and entering financial information. Basic Excel skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
