LHH is seeking a permanent Accounting Associate for a client in Wheaton, IL. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant experience and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Position Type: Permanent

Salary: $60,000$65,000 per year

Worksite Type: Fully Onsite

Key Responsibilities:

Review and enter invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.

Process accounts payable and employee expense reimbursements.

Investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.

Maintain organized financial records, both digital and physical.

Assist with bank deposits and cash applications.

Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.

Prepare and post entries to the general ledger.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely financial reporting.

Perform general administrative and clerical accounting tasks.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on accounting experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Familiarity with general accounting principles and procedures.

Ability to analyze data and solve problems independently.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
