Accounting Assistant
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant with a minimum of one year of experience in general accounting or transaction processing. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, and excellent documentation abilities. You should be adept at research and resolution, capable of multi-tasking, and have outstanding verbal and written communication skills. The ability to meet established deadlines is crucial. This role requires experience in data entry, record keeping, and computer operation. While accounts payable and receivable experience is a plus, it is essential to have a team player attitude and a strong customer service orientation. Prior experience with Salesforce will be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Process new membership agreements, hold requests, and other billing-related member requests.
- Prepare KPI trackers.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team and Member Experience team to ensure an excellent member experience.
- Work with the Accounts Receivable team to resolve invoicing issues.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum one year of experience in general accounting or transaction processing.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to conduct research and resolve issues effectively.
- Multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-starter attitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with data entry and record keeping.
- Computer operation proficiency.
- Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

- Prior experience using Salesforce CRM.
Work Environment:
The work environment varies based on location. If located in Mettawa, employees are expected to work in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. For those in Venice, FL, any three days in the office are required. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure a seamless member experience.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract position based out of Mettawa, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
