1st Shift CNC Machinist Perrysburg, OH

Hiring Opportunity: Perrysburg OH Our client out of Perrysburg OH is looking to add a first shift CNC Machinist to their team! Our client is a leader in the aftermarket parts industry within the flexible packaging industry. The CNC Machinist's main role will be to machine existing jobs and new jobs per Planning & Engineering procedure using Mastercam generated programs. Qualified candidates will have experience with CNC horizontal lathes and CNC Mills.

Responsibilities:

• Machine existing and new jobs per Planning & Engineering procedure using Mastercam generated programs.
• Verify program set-ups and perform at machine adjustments using cutter compensation and other techniques to achievement print tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections on all parts.
• Machine work holding tight tolerances.
• Work with Programming to assist in developing new methods to minimize operations and shorten lead times through production.
• Communicate effectively with engineering and programming departments.
• Have own tools and reliable transportation.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Engineering certificate or Journeyman's card from a college or trade school preferred.
• 3 years experience in CNC machining and machine set-ups.
• Knowledge of Mazak Smooth controls and operation is a plus.
• Experience in CNC programming using Mastercam helpful.
• Experience running turn/mill centers and 5 axis programming is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with team members to produce accurate, high quality parts within tight deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings.
