Wellness Counselor

Wellness Counselor - 30 hrs/wk
The Wellness Counselor provides individual support and group facilitation on the adult inpatient psychiatric unit focusing on introducing and strengthening patient coping skills, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, personal growth, and supporting a whole health wellness approach to psychiatric care. Duties include assisting charge nurse as needed for milieu coverage.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree in related field highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, active listening skills, detail-oriented, able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to assist the program coordinator in the maintenance, organization, reordering, and vetting of patient supplies and wellness areas.
