Contract Logistics Procurement Manager

AWS Infrastructure is looking for a talented, driven, and highly analytical Contract Logistics Procurement Manager with a hunger for driving change and impact at a global scale to join AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain (AIS) team. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, and a passion for using data to drive business decisions. You are analytical and creative, and you don't quit until you solve the problem. You thrive by providing data-driven decision support and business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing, procurement, and contract operations for global contract logistics and warehousing services.
• Establish annual financial plans and create operating rhythms to measure execution vs established targets.
• Build and manage operating rhythms to simplify and automate business processes to ensure compliance with agreed terms and reduce procurement lead times.
• Draft contractual requirements in cooperation with business partners which encourage continued customer focus deliver reduced service costs.
• Manage supplier relationships including contractual negotiations, service performance, capability development.
• Dive deep to uncover areas of opportunity, present written business recommendations, and lead global projects which deliver reduced service costs.

A Day In The Life

• Recommend, develop, and implement policies that guide the organization in accurately estimating service cost and delivering annual profit and loss (P&L).
• Develop new business relationships and competencies.
• Partner with supply and operations teams to develop capacity models, guide network strategy, and inform capital investment decisions.
• Own Controllership activities including invoice auditing to identify discrepancies.
• Partner with business partners to draft, maintain, and standardize contractual requirements.
• Design exception-based reporting highlighting and analyzing outliers.
• Lead weekly discussions reporting on financial performance to plan and areas of improvement.
• Manage and support finance and accounting activities globally with multiple currencies.
