The Janitor is responsible for the cleanliness of the facility, ensuring a hygienic and safe environment for all employees and visitors. This position involves performing various cleaning tasks, handling waste disposal, and maintaining the overall appearance of the building.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas regularly.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, ensuring all surfaces are dirt-free.
- Empty trash cans and recycling bins, disposing of waste appropriately.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Restock cleaning supplies and bathroom amenities as needed.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain outdoor areas, including sidewalks and entrances, to ensure cleanliness.
- Perform additional cleaning tasks as required by the supervisor.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Working Relationships:
Entire SSC while working around the facility.
Requirements:
Minimum Education: High School diploma or its Equivalent
Preferred Education: Trade School
Minimum Experience: 1-2 Years of Janitor Experience
Preferred Experience: 3-4 Years of Janitor Experience
Licenses/Certifications: N/A
Soft Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills
Other Requirements:
Travel: N/A
Hours & Conditions: Monday Friday 8 hour day in office setting
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Grasping/Griping/fine manipulation
- Pushing/pulling/bending/kneeling/twisting/climbing on a regular basis
- Carrying/sitting/walking/standing and lifting above shoulder level on a regular basis
