DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center is looking for an Utility Steward/Dishwasher to join the Culinary Department! This hotel is located across the street from the Abilene Convention Center in the heart of downtown, among restaurants and businesses.

The ideal candidate will hold comparable experience and have full availability to work the ever-changing schedule of hospitality. This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking to begin their hospitality career.

Shift Pattern: This role requires full flexibility with schedules, AM, MID and PM shifts, starting as early as 7-8AM and ending as late as 11.30PM, weekends and holidays availability required.

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Steward, you would be responsible for transporting and cleaning cooking utensils and service ware in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Wash dishes and operate the dishwasher to clean all chinaware, silverware and cooking utensils
• Scrub pots and pans
• Burnish, de-tarnish and polish silver
• Stock and maintain supplies and equipment
• Perform cleaning duties including, but not limited to, mopping and removing trash
• Transport and store clean service ware
• Train other stewards, as needed
• Prepare and place clean service ware for events and functions
