Purpose

Prepare the premix acid tank solution and recycle used drawing soaps. Clean assigned areas. Reports directly to the General Foreman/Shift Foreman.

Job Responsibilities

1. Sweep floors, clean machines, and mix acid tank solution.
2. Deliver the premixed acid tank solution to the designated lines.
3. Recycle used drawing soap.
4. Review, understand, and follow the departmental procedures, EW Specifications, SSW.
5. Specifications, and Plant Rules and Regulations that are associated with the performance of this job.
6. Obey all safety rules, maintain the cleanliness of the work area, and perform other duties as assigned by the General Foreman/Shift Foreman.
7. Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.

Job Requirements

1. Understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job.
2. Be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious.
3. Knowledgeable of the Filler Rod Department production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities and human resource requirements.
4. Problem solving skills.
5. Excellent work record, leadership abilities, and communication skills, be able to have a good relationship with people and motivate workers.
6. Ability and desire to manage a production department with a three-shift operation.
7. Have sound judgment and be knowledgeable of welding with the ability to interpret welding results and to correct problems caused by manufacturing.
8. Be physically able to lift 100-pound bags on a regular basis and move large barrels of soap and acid.
