Key Responsibilities

As a Behavioral Classroom Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioral needs. Responsibilities include:

• Providing personal care and behavioral assistance to assigned students
• Assisting with classroom activities, grooming, meal preparation, toileting, and ambulation
• Managing challenging behaviors and implementing crisis intervention strategies
• Encouraging independence and ensuring student safety
• Supporting the implementation of behavioral plans
• Maintaining accurate documentation as per Amergis policies
• Communicating effectively with school staff and Amergis office personnel

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates degree in behavioral studies or related field preferred)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

CPR Certification & Current TB Skin Test/Chest X-ray (if applicable)

Completion of company testing process
