Urgent Care Patient Care Technician

Pay: $21.49 - $27.94 / hour, based on relevant experience

Join Our Team: Be part of a dedicated team providing crucial emergent and urgent patient care. As an Urgent Care Patient Care Technician, you will work under the guidance of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage patient flow to enhance efficiency and keep patients informed about any delays.
• Monitor patients and promptly alert the provider or RN if any distress is observed.
• Support patient preparation for examinations and assist before, during, and after the visit.
• Perform essential procedures including Foley catheter insertion, complex splinting, and venipuncture.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam and treatment areas, following established protocols for equipment sanitation.
• Ensure optimal supply levels are maintained, placing orders as needed.
• Utilize critical thinking and decisiveness in a fast-paced environment while working with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

• Emergency Medical Technician or equivalent certification (CMA, RMA, LPN, EMT-Paramedic).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification needed before start date (valid for 60 days post-hire).
• IV proficiency is required within 6 months of hire.
