TS/SCI DevSecOps Platform Engineer (Senior)

Insight Global is looking to hire a Senior DevSecOps Engineer in the Reston, VA area. On a day-to-day basis, this individual will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and managing secure, mission-critical on-premises infrastructure platforms. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Architecting, deploying, and managing RKE2 Kubernetes clusters in secure datacenter environments
- Designing and integrating on-premises infrastructure components and services
- Designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Terragrunt
- Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and ArgoCD
- Implementing monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
- Automating workflows using Python, Go, or Bash
- Applying and enforcing container security policies across RKE2 environments
- Implementing and maintaining STIG compliance across Linux systems and Kubernetes clusters
- Ensuring adherence to DoD security standards and federal compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP)
- Hardening RHEL systems according to government security baselines
- Mentoring junior engineers and leading technical projects
- Conducting security assessments and supporting vulnerability remediation efforts
Compensation:
$75.65/hr to $88.94hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive Kubernetes experience, especially with RKE2 in on-premises datacenter deployments
- 5+ years of experience with RHEL administration and hardening
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Ansible (additional experience with Terraform, Helm, or Terragrunt is a plus)
- CI/CD pipeline experience, specifically using GitLab and Jenkins
- Strong experience scripting from scratch and automation experience with Python, Go, or Bash
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions with Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience implementing and maintaining STIG compliance
- Strong understanding of federal compliance standards and security frameworks (such as FISMA, NIST, etc.)
- Understanding of security scanning tools and processes
- Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISSP, or GSEC certification
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) or RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
- Linux and Infrastructure Engineering certifications
- CompTIA CASP+ or similar advanced security certification
- Kubernetes Administrator/Engineer Certification
