Truck Driver

Immediate opening for a non CDL Truck Driver with experience moving trailers and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Bloomfield, CT. We are seeking a non-CDL yard jockey that has specific yard jockey experience.

$1107 or more per week - And it gets better.

1. Driver Positions Pay Weekly
2. Hourly Pay: $25.75 Per Hour
3. Hours Per Week: 45 - 50 hours per week
4. Paid Training
5. Schedule: Sunday thru Wednesday
6. Start Time: 4:00 PM - 4:00 AM Sunday half day

Deliver SOLO To: Bloomfield Yard

• Route: Local Home Daily
• Tractor Type: Ottowa
• Able to accommodate an Automatic Restriction
• Trailer Type: 36', 48' and 53' Reefer
• Freight: No Touch

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Must have verifiable driving experience in "like" equipment:
  • 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Yard Driver Examination
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads
• The position requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records Other tasks as assigned
