Traveling Superintendent

We are seeking a Traveling Superintendent to plan and organize project work, ensuring all tasks are executed according to the contract. This role requires creating and updating monthly project schedules and performing detailed reviews of designs, drawings, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise contractor work to ensure timely and cost-effective project implementation.
• Coordinate and liaise with clients, subcontractors, consultants, property inspectors, and regulatory authorities.
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure adherence to required standards on-site.
• Assist in preparing operations/maintenance manuals and project closeout documentation.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience as a construction superintendent in a commercial setting.
• Proficiency in construction management, commercial construction, blueprint reading, subcontractor management, and construction supervision.
• Experience in managing crews and sub-crews.
• Skills in project management and carpentry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in building dental or medical clinics is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Experience in managing a workforce of 6-10 laborers at all times.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Waterloo, IA.
