Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with ARRT registration, CT certification, and at least 1 year of experience for a diagnostic radiology assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic radiology department within a hospital setting
• Responsible for conducting a variety of diagnostic X-ray procedures on a diverse patient population
• Day shifts, four 9-hour shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Perform X-ray imaging according to physician specifications and radiologist protocols
• Operate and maintain X-ray equipment and related devices
• Educate, position, and immobilize patients for procedures while ensuring safety and comfort
• Prepare and administer contrast media following protocol
• Supervise and evaluate Student Radiographers in the clinical setting
• Practice sterile techniques and infection prevention policies
• Adhere to radiation safety measures (ALARA) for patients and staff
• Open and responsive communication with patients, coworkers, and leadership

Requirements

• Active ARRT registration required
• CT certification required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• At least 1 year of radiology technologist experience in the relevant specialty
• Must have an active license as applicable
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
