Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an 8-hour day shift position requiring SD licensure and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a physical therapy department with diverse patient populations including orthopedic, spine, neuro, and sports medicine cases
• Utilize advanced equipment such as dry needle, blood flow restriction, AlterG, pool, focused shockwave, and cupping technologies
• EPIC is used for charting; experience with this EMR is beneficial
• No floating required within the department
• 5-7 days of orientation provided on facility and unit procedures
• No weekend, on-call, or holiday work required
• 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Rehab supervisors provide departmental support and guidance
• Scrub colors are pewter, dark grey, or granite
• Free parking is available for staff
• Time-off must be approved by a supervisor; up to 7 days unapproved is not permitted
• No local travelers allowed; candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius
• First-time travelers may be considered based on prior experience and setting
• Facility is known to be traveler friendly and supportive, with positive experiences for renewing travelers

Requirements

• Active SD PT license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
• Skills and experience with listed equipment and patient populations will be discussed during the interview
