Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for the Pediatric Acute Care Float Pool, requiring current MO or compact RN license and the ability to float between similar pediatric units.

Responsibilities

• Position is within the Pediatric Acute Care Float Pool in a hospital setting
• Care for pediatric acute care and pediatric med-surg patient populations
• Floating required between similar pediatric units on the same campus and potentially to a nearby sister hospital in Kansas
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Cerner EMR is used and experience is preferred
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Locals are accepted at the same rate with no local radius restrictions
• Floating will not be outside of pediatric specialty or acuity
• Pass/fail testing for medications/dosages is part of onboarding
• Facility is smoke-free
• Preference given to candidates with flexible scheduling availability

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required and KS RN license or proof of application required for consideration
• Minimum 1-2 years of pediatric or pediatric med-surg RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA-issued BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (RQI not accepted)
• Must pass a medication/dosage test within the first week (100% required, up to three attempts)
• Clean Nursys report required
