Job Summary:

As an ICU Nurse, you will deliver direct nursing care to patients requiring complex assessments and interventions according to established protocols. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to gather comprehensive data about your patients’ needs and conditions.
• Analyze and synthesize assessment data to identify the appropriate diagnoses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to establish optimal patient outcomes.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans using clinical judgment.
• Ensure a safe environment while coordinating care with other team members.
• Evaluate the progress of patient care and adjust plans as necessary.
• Maintain and enhance professional competence through continuous learning and practice evaluation.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with patients, their families, and healthcare providers.
• Integrate evidence-based practices into nursing care to optimize patient care.
• Stay alert and work in a safe manner at all times.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Experience: No prior experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Effective communication through speech.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent sight and hearing use for patient monitoring and communication.

Professional Certifications:

Must have the following certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Advanced cardiology certification (ALS) or equivalent specialty certification.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36
