Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This is an 18-week contract position with a focus on providing high-quality, patient-centered care in an endoscopy environment. Candidates must be available to work through the holiday season and be prepared for call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced endoscopy setting.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and other interventions as needed while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Participate in a call rotation, with responsibilities including 6-8 days of call per month, which must include one Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday.
• Document patient care activities and responses, including patient and family education regarding post-hospitalization self-care.
• Promote a healing environment by addressing patient and family needs with empathy and respect.
• Engage in continuous self-evaluation to enhance personal nursing practice and patient outcomes.
• Follow all infection prevention guidelines to safeguard public safety.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN licensure.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an endoscopy environment as a Registered Nurse.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Work Schedule

Shifts will start between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM, depending on the assigned role (pre-op, circulator/tech, or post-op). This position requires a minimum of 36 hours per week plus call duties.
