Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Nacogdoches, Texas 75965
• Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical Unit (2nd and 3rd Floors)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 1/20/2026)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (7AM–7PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: May float to ICU or Women's Center as needed
• Nurse-Patient Ratio: 5:1 days, 6:1 nights
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy blue
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1420 - $1530

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system

Med/Surg Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to adults with diagnoses including CHF, pneumonia, sepsis, cardiac conditions, ESRD, post-op bariatrics, orthopedic, ENT, and general surgery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to ICU or Women's Center units as needed within your nursing skillset
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner
• Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
