**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift (7 PM - 7 AM)

**Job Type:** 20 to 26-week Contract

**Shift Details:**
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week (Nights: 7 PM - 7 AM)
- Every Other Weekend (EOW) and holiday rotations
- 2 On-Call shifts every 4 weeks

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team for a contract position. This RN will be required to work during the holiday season and must be comfortable floating among various units, including Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Emergency Room (ER).

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple settings: med/surg, ICU, and ER.
- Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatment protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a healing environment for all patients.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills in interactions with patients, families, and staff.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

**Qualifications:**
- **Education:** Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- **Licensure:** Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State (NYS).
- **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience required, with proficiency in floating to diverse areas (med/surg, ICU, ER).
- **Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required. Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) recommended within 2 years of hire.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) recommended within 2 years of hire.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.

**Behavioral Characteristics:**
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while enhancing teamwork.
- Capacity to assess and address the age-specific needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
