Local Contract Nurse RN - Ambulatory Care - $50-55 per hour

Non-profit OPWDD organizations in New York specialize in providing compassionate care for adult patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), including varying degrees of Cerebral Palsy. These organizations offer exceptional flexibility for LPN case managers, allowing them to adjust their start and end times for personal reasons when needed. Case managers can also set their own weekly schedules within reasonable daytime hours, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Job Function:

• Day Shift.
• 9am - 4pm.
• Oversee direct support professionals in a various home-care settings. Settings range from small houses to apartment complexes.
• Responsible for about 2 houses with about 5-10 patients in each, at most. This person will be expected to float between houses each day of the week as per required by patients' needs but will only need to report to one home each day. They will not need to float among multiple houses in a single day.  
• This is a hands-off nursing position where the candidate will be directing DSP's on how to care for the patients and not doing the hands-on care taking work themselves.
• Handle documentation on a regular basis.   

Job Requirements:

• New York State LPN License.   
• OPWDD or Case Management experience required.
• 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
