About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Active RN license Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, C-EFM Must-Have: Experience in Labor and Delivery, C-EFM strongly encouraged Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery. The nurse will work 3 twelve-hour shifts during the day. RTO days are limited to a maximum of 10 over the contract duration. RTO is not permitted during specific restricted periods throughout the year. Weekend coverage will be required every third weekend. The candidate will need to float to other obstetrical units as necessary. Charting will be done using established systems. The labor and delivery unit consists of 6 labor delivery rooms and 10 postpartum rooms. Care will be provided for a range of patient needs, including high-risk mothers. The nursing team emphasizes teamwork, evidence-based practices, and family-centered care. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care. Responsibilities include assisting with deliveries, patient education, and postpartum care. The nurse will participate in a supportive team environment focused on quality care.
