Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a WI or compact license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 2 years of ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 16-bed Critical Care Unit (ICU) with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1
• Care for patients requiring ventilators, drips, CRRT, and assist with bedside procedures such as line placements and chest tubes
• Utilize equipment including Epic EMR, Pyxis, GE Monitors, Stryker ICU beds, Caminos, and Maquet Booms
• Work 12-hour varied shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Will not work alone during any shift
• Float between MSICU, CICU, step-down units (CTU, IMC), and may float to Med-Surg, Inpatient Rehab, and Clinical Decision Unit as needed
• Floating to nearby facilities within 30-40 miles may be required
• Responsibilities include comprehensive ICU nursing care and assisting with advanced bedside procedures
• General Nursing Orientation and 2 orientation shifts provided in the unit
• Dress code requires scrubs of any color with close-toed nonslip shoes
• Expect to float first if needed per facility policy
• Coverage for assigned holidays is expected

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• CCRN and TNCC certifications are preferred but not required
