This position operates on a 12-hour night shift schedule. Travelers must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day. A minimum of every other weekend is required, and the schedule may be adjusted to meet the needs of the unit and patient care.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), with overflow responsibilities in the neuro department. The RN will be required to float to the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and other designated areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Start IVs and manage multiple titrating drips.
• Provide critical vent care and manage care for patients with multi-system diseases.
• Perform CRRT, IAPB, Ecmo, and care for COVID-19 patients.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient care management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• NIHSS certification is required prior to start.
• Two years of nursing experience in an intensive care unit setting is necessary.
• Experience in a large teaching facility is preferred.
• Prior travel experience is essential.
• CCRN certification is preferred.
