• Location: Puyallup, Washington (Zip: 98372) – Puget Sound region
• Facility: Level III Trauma Center, 375 licensed beds, 46-bed Emergency Department
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: February 7, 2026
• Duration: 14 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour mids/nights (start times: 3:00pm or 7:00pm)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880-$2020
• Orientation: Comprehensive onboarding with preceptor support
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Parking: Free in designated areas

ER RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license (Washington RN license preferred for local candidates)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI/MOAB
• Strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV therapy, and ED medication administration
• Traveler Telemetry Competency (must be completed and passed prior to start)
• Ability to care for diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics
• First-time travel nurses welcome – supportive environment for new travelers

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and manage patients with trauma, cardiac events (STEMI), stroke, sepsis, mental health, respiratory issues, and more
• Administer medications, perform procedural sedation, and manage blood and TNK administration
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: ER techs, charge nurses, resource nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, pharmacy, and security staff
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
• Participate in ongoing education and competency assessments
• Maintain professionalism in appearance and conduct (scrub color of choice, modest piercings, non-offensive tattoos)
