Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting and must possess skills in managing critical care situations, including but not limited to dysrhythmias, IV therapy, and procedural sedation. Pediatric experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications, including continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors.
• Conduct assessments and manage care for ventilated patients.
• Perform triage and isolation precautions as necessary.
• Monitor and interpret critical diagnostics such as Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs).
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience is required.
• Current NY license must be in hand at the time of submission.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS required; TNCC and ENPC preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• FEMA awareness is required; candidates must have an understanding of emergency response protocols.
