Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 major holidays during assignment

Overview: We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse for a contract assignment in Newark, NJ. This role primarily supports the Cardiovascular Operating Room and includes floating to the Main OR for orthopedic and general surgical cases. Candidates must have a strong background in circulating, with scrub experience preferred.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2.5 years of operating room experience
• Circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred
• Transplant experience highly preferred (cardiac, lung, and/or kidney)
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Experience with EPIC and OR Manager (PICIS) charting systems
• Scrubs provided

Clinical Experience Required:

• Cardiovascular procedures: valve replacement, coronary artery bypass (CABG), TAVR, dissection, VATS
• Main OR procedures: general surgery, orthopedic surgery, standard cardiac (AVR, MVR), TCAR, TEVAR, VADs
• Endovascular and vascular procedures: Endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, TCAR, AV fistula, fem-pop bypass

On-Call Requirements:

• One weekend per month: 24-hour on-call coverage (Saturday and Sunday)
• Two weekday on-call shifts per week: 8 hours (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
