Location: Lawrence, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: Orientation on 10/28 or 11/10
Shift: 4x10s, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Hours: 40 per week

EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• Licensure: Active RN license (MA or compact)
• Certifications: CNOR (Required)
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years perioperative & surgical management experience
  • Must be competent on call for all surgical specialties listed below

Specialty Competencies

• Ortho Trauma: Required
• Total Joints: Hips, Knees, Shoulders, Reverse Shoulders
• Vascular: Fem-pop, AAA, AV fistulas, thrombectomies
• GYN: Hysteroscopy, ABD/Vaginal/Lap-assisted Hysterectomy, Cystectomy
• General: Laparoscopic (camera competency preferred)
• Colorectal: Hemicolectomy, Hepatic resections
• ENT: Peds T&A, tubes (no ophthalmology required)
• Urology: Prostatectomy (lap vs open), TURP, stents, cystoscopy
• Bariatrics: Required
• Spine: Neuro and ortho cases, ant/post spines (specify table experience); burr holes and subdural hematoma OK, no craniotomies
• Trauma: Yes (gunshot, stabbing, multi-bone trauma); no burns
• Thoracic: Starting service—OK if limited experience
• Cardiovascular: None

Manager Responsibilities

• Oversee daily surgical flow and efficiency
• Evaluate staffing and scheduling; adjust clinical assignments as needed
• Respond to real-time schedule changes (add-on/late cases, resource allocation)
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and department chiefs
• Maintain safe patient care and high clinical performance standards

Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
Contract Weeks: 13
