**Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse**

**Shift:** 7 PM - 7:30 AM

**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. This vital role involves providing high-quality nursing care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery, as well as caring for high-risk patients with complex medical conditions.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit, including monitoring fetal heart rates and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Perform advanced skills such as Cesarean sections, inductions, and care for bariatric patients and other high-risk conditions.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain a safe delivery environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system with a strong focus on Epic experience.
- Assist in education and support for patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns before, during, and after delivery.

**Qualifications:**

- Current nursing licensure and certification in the state of practice.
- Advanced certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- National Certification Corporation or Intermediate AWHONN certification issued within the past 3 years (proof of class registration for AWHONN certification may be uploaded at the time of submission).
- Labor and delivery experience with a strong background in high-risk scenarios preferred.
- Ability to float to other units as needed to promote teamwork and patient care.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.

**Additional Information:**

- Navy blue scrubs required.
