Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist experienced in Level 1 Trauma and Epic charting for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a general radiology department with a focus on diagnostic radiological procedures
• Adult patient population in a Level 1 Trauma setting
• Procedures include diagnostic radiography utilizing various imaging equipment
• Uses Epic EMR and PACS for imaging and documentation
• Day shifts: Tuesday to Friday, 6:30AM to 5:00PM, four days per week
• May occasionally perform duties of other imaging modalities as licensed
• Performs radiographic procedures, acquires and processes patient exams, and administers IV/oral/rectal contrast as appropriate
• Screens patients for pregnancy and conducts pregnancy testing if indicated
• Reviews labs and patient history for exam appropriateness and ensures medical necessity
• Participates in training of new staff and students
• Assists other modalities during downtimes as needed
• Required to comply with department safety standards and report any safety events
• Scrub or professional attire required as per department policy
• Time off requests not to exceed 7 days for the 13-week contract
• Returning employees may not continuously work more than 1 year before a required 6-month break
• No travel partners accepted for assignment

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
• BLS (AHA), IEMA Radiography License (Illinois), and ARRT (R) required
• Minimum of 1 year relevant radiology technologist experience
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• License required if applicable
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
