Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT or NMTCB(CT) certification and experience in CT imaging for a 20-week contract.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based CT scan department
• Weekend shifts Friday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week
• Patient population includes adult and pediatric patients
• Utilize CT scanners, including multi-planar and 3D reconstruction capabilities
• Tasks include image acquisition, image manipulation, oral and IV contrast administration, and image data transfer
• Use of PACS, EPIC EMR, and IMPAX service tools for image management and documentation
• Responsibilities include verifying patient identification, obtaining patient history, assuring patient safety, and administering contrast per protocol
• Expected to precept new employees and students as needed
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, documenting incidents for process improvement
• May be required to review patient’s charts and reports for test correlation
• Strict documentation and reporting timelines for background check and drug screening

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited program in Radiological Science
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or certified with NMTCB(CT), or registry/certification eligible (provide diploma if eligible)
• Advanced certification in CT required
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) required
• Must have prior education, training, and experience to perform assigned CT technologist tasks
• Registry/certification required if applicable
