Job Description

The Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse will provide specialized care in a high-acuity setting, focusing on patient experience, effective communication, and teamwork. This role requires a proactive approach to planning for potential issues in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with open heart procedures, including CABGs, MVR, TVR, AVR, VATS, and vascular procedures.
• Executing scrub or circulate procedures, ensuring room setup and turnover are efficient and effective.
• Maintaining sterile technique, setting up central and arterial lines, and operating Belmont and cell saver equipment.
• Interacting directly with patients, requiring strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
• Experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on teamwork and patient care.
