Job Description

The Cath Lab Tech will be part of a dynamic invasive cardiology department that includes three procedural labs and a 12-bed prep and recovery area. Responsibilities include assisting in cath, EP, and peripheral vascular cases with a skilled team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists. The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for handling diagnostic procedures and complex interventions, including advanced treatment options for STEMI and cardiac arrest.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various cardiology procedures including catheterizations, electrophysiology, and peripheral interventions.
• Monitor patient status pre- and post-procedure in the prep and recovery area.
• Handle emergency situations such as STEMI and cardiac arrest with appropriate interventions.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by the unit.
• Ensure a tobacco and fragrance-free environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab environment.
• Certifications: RCIS, BLS, and ACLS required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)), Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credentials are necessary.
