Job Description

AECOM has an exceptional opportunity for a Transportation Engineer III to join our successful Transportation Business Line in Atlanta, GA. This position offers a hybrid work option. In this position, the engineer will work on one or more projects, involving a combination of the following:

  Provide technical oversight & support to entry level engineers

  n

• n

  Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision

• n

  Independently perform all tasks necessary to complete design, including but not limited to:

• n

  Quantities/cost estimation

  n
n
• n

  Roadway geometrics

  n
n
• n

  Maintenance of traffic/staging

  n
n
• n

  Drainage design

  n
n
• n

  Modeling

  n
n
• n

  Signing and marking

  n
n
• n

  Right-of-way

  n
n
• n

  Erosion and sedimentation control

  n
n

Qualifications

Minimum:

n
• n

  Bachelor's degree Civil Engineering or a related field

  n
n
• n

  4 years of experience designing civil engineering projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  n
n
• n

  Georgia PE License

  n
n

Preferred:

n
• n

  8 years of experience designing transportation engineering projects

  n
n
• n

  Experience designing Georgia roadway projects

  n
n
• n

  Experience with GDOT Plan Development Process

  n
n
• n

  Experience with AASHTO Greenbook

  n
n
• n

  Experience with technical software applications, such as OpenRoads, MicroStation, and/or InRoads

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000.
