Trademark and Copyright Attorney

A law firm seeks a Trademark and Copyright Attorney in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team engaged in high-profile trademark and copyright litigation, advising on trademark protection, and managing trademark prosecution processes for national and international brands.

Duties

• Engage in federal litigation and USPTO Trademark Trial & Appeal Board proceedings.
• Advise on trademark protection, including clearance searches and risk analysis.
• Develop and implement trademark filing strategies.
• Handle trademark transactional work, including licensing and due diligence.
• Manage domain name disputes and provide copyright registration counseling.
• Collaborate with and manage a team of paralegals and business professionals.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in trademark, copyright, and advertising litigation.
• Familiarity with trademark prosecution processes.
• Experience with trademark transactional work is a plus.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Superior writing, oral communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills
