A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Trade Compliance Specialist (Imports Americas).

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has a sharp eye for detail, and brings hands-on experience in import regulations.
What You'll Be Doing:

• Champion Compliance Excellence: Collaborate with the Sr. Manager to design and execute a robust, standardized import compliance program tailored for the Americas.
• Be the Compliance Detective: Support investigations, audits, and disclosures, diving deep into root causes and helping resolve issues with precision.
• Educate & Empower: Deliver impactful trade compliance training sessions, ensuring teams stay informed and aligned with regulatory standards.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor evolving trade regulations, policies, and corporate initiatives to keep our compliance strategy future ready.
• Navigate the Regulatory Maze: Research trade rulings, interpret classifications, and provide clear guidance to internal teams and external partners.
• Be the Go-To Expert: Offer insights on a wide range of trade compliance matters, from import licensing to valuation and classification.
• Keep It Clean & Organized: Maintain meticulous records, reconcile data, and ensure smooth documentation for all compliance activities.
• Resolve with Agility: Tackle daily transaction holds and inquiries swiftly, ensuring business continuity without compromising compliance.
• Drive Innovation: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in trade operations.
• Collaborate Across Borders: Liaise with internal departments and service providers to ensure regulatory alignment and duty optimization.
• Lead & Support Projects: Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and help develop SOPs and work instructions that elevate our compliance game.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in international trade, with a strong focus on Americas import compliance
• Deep knowledge of import regulations, classification, valuation, and licensing
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Spanish bilingual skills are a plus
• US Customs Broker license highly preferred
• Willingness to travel up to 10%

• Experience with Oracle and trade automation tools like E2Open is a bonus
• Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to challenges

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $45.00 - $49.13 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
